David Desnoyers Obituary

David G. Desnoyers, 82, of Marlborough, died Sunday, April 7, 2024.

He was the son of the late Oscar G. and Ann (O’Neil) Desnoyers and was the husband to Megan (Floyd) Desnoyers to whom he’d been married 57 years.

Besides his wife, David is survived by his son, Adam Desnoyers and his wife Jaime Netzer, as well as many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and Maine.

Born in Holyoke, MA, David graduated from Western New England College with a B.S. in engineering. He met his wife Megan in upstate NY. After they married, David and Megan lived in Hyde Park, NY, before moving to Lynnfield, MA, and eventually settling near Lake Boon in Stow, MA. The pair lived in Stow for 42 years, where they were members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

David was a dedicated employee. He worked in Ohio as a Mechanical Engineer for Firestone before moving to Poughkeepsie, NY, to work for IBM as a Systems Analyst. After moving to Massachusetts, David began work at Polaroid and worked in their Norwood, Cambridge and Waltham locations before finally retiring as a Senior Purchaser.

During his retirement, David discovered a love for oil painting through an art class with the Stow Council on Aging. He also enjoyed woodworking, stamp collecting, and his beloved dogs Guinness and Alex.

A burial will be held at a later date.
